At Abano, we are committed to conducting business the right way, ethically and in line with legal and regulatory obligations. The Abano Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of corporate governance within the organisation by adopting appropriate governance processes to manage risks, provide transparency and protect the interests of shareholders and stakeholders.

The Company continues to monitor developments in best practice governance and update its policies accordingly. There have been a number of new governance guidelines issued recently including the  "Corporate Governance in New Zealand Principles and Guidelines" issued by the Financial Markets Authority in December 2014.

The Board is currently reviewing and updating individual policies in line with new governance principles and guidelines. Updated policies will be disclosed on the Abano website as they become available.
